What Is Curing?

Curing is the process of slowly drying harvested cannabis in controlled conditions to develop full flavor, aroma, smoothness, and potency.

Curing Explained

Curing is the post-harvest process of slowly drying and aging cannabis buds in controlled temperature and humidity conditions. After the initial drying phase (typically 7-14 days of hanging), buds are placed in airtight containers and "burped" (opened briefly) regularly over 2-8 weeks. Proper curing breaks down chlorophyll (reducing harshness), develops terpene complexity, converts THCA for maximum potency, and creates a smoother smoke. Well-cured cannabis is one of the biggest differentiators between premium and low-quality flower.

Why It Matters

Curing directly impacts the quality of flower you buy. Properly cured cannabis smokes smoother, tastes better, and can actually feel more potent than rushed products.
