What Is Carb Cap?
Carb Cap Explained
A carb cap is a small tool placed over the top of a heated banger or nail on a dab rig after concentrate is applied. It traps heat inside the banger, creating a small oven effect that allows the concentrate to vaporize at lower temperatures. This is important because low-temperature dabs preserve more terpenes and flavor while reducing harshness. Carb caps come in various designs including directional (which steer airflow), bubble caps, and spinner caps (which spin terp pearls for even heating).
Why It Matters
A carb cap is essential for getting the best flavor from concentrates. Low-temp dabbing with a carb cap is the preferred method for concentrate connoisseurs.
