The Cannabar Supports Middletown, NJ Veterans Day Fundraiser
At The Cannabar Dispensary, community is at the heart of everything we do. This past Veterans Day, we were honored to participate in a special fundraiser that truly made a difference for our local heroes in Middletown, New Jersey. Through our raffle baskets, we helped raise over $11,000 for the cause!
Our contribution to furnishing units, handicap equipment, and the village trust fund.
A Community Effort at Mule Barn Tavern
The Veterans Day benefit was hosted by the wonderful team at Mule Barn Tavern on Tuesday, November 11th. It was a heartwarming gathering dedicated to supporting the newly built Middletown Veteran Village on Leonardville Road in Belford.
The community came out in full force, participating in raffles and celebrating our local heroes. The Canna Bar Dispensary was proud to contribute multiple raffle baskets that helped raise over $11,000 for the cause! What made this event even more special was the incredible generosity of the Mule Barn Tavern owner, who matched every donation made that evening, effectively doubling the impact of the community's support.
All proceeds from the event will go directly towards furnishing units, purchasing special handicap equipment, and contributing to the trust fund the town has set up for the village, ensuring our veterans have the comfortable home they deserve.
About the Middletown Veteran Village
The Middletown Veteran Village is more than just a building; it's a beacon of hope and a fresh start for those who have served our country. Located in the Belford section of Middletown, this newly constructed facility provides affordable, high-quality housing specifically designed for veterans.
The facility offers a supportive environment where veterans can live with dignity. The building features:
- 12 Residential Units: Comprising 10 single units and 2 family lofts to accommodate different needs.
- Community Spaces: 3 floors, each equipped with a recreation room and shared living room areas to foster camaraderie.
- Accessibility: Full handicap accessibility throughout the entire building, including roll-in showers, ensuring comfort for veterans of all abilities.
We are incredibly proud to support initiatives like this that provide safe, comfortable, and accessible housing for our veterans. A huge thank you to Mule Barn Tavern for organizing such a successful event and to everyone who came out to support this cause!
