We are incredibly honored and humbled to share this exciting update! On November 11th, 2025, Eric from the New Jersey Veterans Service Association (NJVSA) stopped by our dispensary to hand-deliver a special recognition plaque honoring our ongoing support and dedication to veterans in our community.
This recognition means the world to us because it represents the real impact we've been able to make in the lives of veterans who need support. The plaque now hangs proudly in our dispensary as a reminder of our commitment to those who have served.

How It All Started: Our $5,843.60 Donation
Here at Cannabar, supporting our local community has always been at the heart of what we do. While we're known for providing quality cannabis products to New Jersey, we're equally committed to giving back to the heroes who have served our country with honor and dedication.
That's why we were incredibly proud to present a check for $5,843.60 to the New Jersey Veteran Support Allianceβan organization that steps in to help veterans who don't qualify for traditional VA assistance but still desperately need support.
Every dollar goes directly toward helping veterans access medical care, mental health services, housing assistance, and family support programs.
Filling Critical Gaps in Veteran Care
When we sat down with Eric from the New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance, we learned something that shocked us: many veterans who need help don't qualify for VA assistance due to strict eligibility requirements. Eric explained that a veteran could be homeless, but because they don't meet specific VA criteria, they would simply be given a list of local shelters instead of the comprehensive support they need.
Similarly, if a veteran needs dentures or other essential medical care but doesn't qualify under VA guidelines, they're left to figure it out on their own. This is where the New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance steps in to bridge these critical gaps.
The Reality for Many Veterans
The Challenge: Veterans who fall outside VA qualification criteria often have nowhere to turn for essential services like medical care, dental work, mental health support, and housing assistance.
The Solution: Organizations like the NJ Veteran Support Alliance provide the help that government programs can't or won't provide, ensuring no veteran is left behind.

Eric shared with us exactly where our donation will have the most impact. According to him, the majority of funds will go toward covering medical bills for veterans who can't get the care they need through traditional channels.
